Jazz is the focus of my writing, which includes reviews of live and recorded music. I'm currently working on a book on the music of Bud Powell and its influence.

My educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts (Antioch College), Certificate of Advanced Study in software engineering (Harvard University Extension), and Master of Music in Jazz Studies (New England Conservatory).
